Shipment insurance-YOUR PACKAGE IS NOT COVERED AGAINST DAMAGE OR LOST WITHOUT IT

Did you know that most carriers NEVER pay insurance claims, even when you pay extra for it?  Frequently, you have to take a damaged package to your local carrier's office to prove damage, and they rarely reimburse anyone for the damage.  In the event of a lost package, you may be required to prove the package wasn't delivered.  Seriously!  

You can cover your package with our insurance option.  This will cover your lost or damaged item.  For lost packages, claims are not accepted until 14 days after expected delivery date.  If you choose not to take this coverage, your package will not be covered by Mountain Metal Arts, and you'll have to file a claim with the carrier.  Without our insurance coverage, we are unable to assist in filing a claim.

The post office is more reliable with paying claims, and the process is easier than UPS but it's still time-consuming and frustrating.  UPS virtually NEVER pays claims.  They will ask for documentation, but the links don't allow attachments.  They will ask you to fill out forms online, then a "technical error" will prevent you from completing the process and it will happen repeatedly.  You will spend far too much time on hold if you phone them and then you'll be transferred from agent to agent, repeating your issue multiple times. 

This is time-consuming and frustrating, and it's exactly why we offer this coverage.  When you buy this coverage, you're avoiding all of this hassle and so are we.  Once the package is confirmed lost or damaged, we send you a new one.  No forms to fill out or calls to make.  If you choose to NOT purchase this, you'll have to file the claim yourself.
